You have probably heard of the name Jeunesse Global. But even if you can’t place it, the mere fact that most people in the developed world have at least had some encounter with the company and its products is testament to the incredible growth story of which Jeunesse Global has been the subject.
Founded in 2009 by industry veterans Randy Ray and Wendy Lewis, Jeunesse Global quickly grew from a garage-based hobby business into an international power player in the global health and beauty scene. From the start, Ray and Lewis wanted to create a different kind of health and beauty company. They wanted to form a company that would help people to meet their financial goals while also providing groundbreaking and life-changing products to customers across the globe. Rather than making more money, the already rich couple wanted to make a life statement, creating a company that would leave a lasting legacy of innovation and helping people.
In Jeunesse Global, Ray and Lewis were able to meet their goals. The company has found enormous success in selling innovative and effective products. The couple was able to use their expertise in finding unexploited market niches and quickly pairing up with some of the best product-development engineers in the world to create slam-dunk health and beauty products.
One example of the company’s innovative products is its AM PM Essentials multivitamin. AM PM Essentials is designed both to help people stay alert and focused throughout the day, operating at their peak performance, as well as being able to wind down and successfully fall asleep at night. While many multivitamins are formulated to help people perform at their best throughout the day, few have ever ventured to address the serious problems that using such performance-enhancing substances as caffeine and energy drinks cause when trying to fall asleep. Sleep problems and, in particular, inadequate hours of sleep are one of the chief causes of low productivity in today’s modern economy. PM Essentials offers an all-natural remedy to the problems caused by not being able to fall asleep, helping people to wake up refreshed and fully restored, ready to face the day at their best.
Whitney Wolfe Herd is one of Time’s top 100 People of the Year. She’s an entrepreneur, a feminist, a tough business lady, and she’s under 30. Wolfe is turning the tech world upside down and changing lives as she goes.
Whitney Wolfe was raised in Salt Lake City, Utah then went to college at SMU in Dallas, Texas. The next part of her business background she might want to forget, but it did lead her down a path to Bumble so it could be worth it. Wolfe helped launch the dating app Tinder as co-founder in 2012 and began dating one of the other creators. That went downhill then she was roped into a lawsuit all about money, power and horrible words thrown around via text. After crashing and burning at Tinder, she began to think about an app that put the ball in the woman’s court when dating. Her app slowly transformed into Bumble. The guy can’t even message a woman without her messaging him first. Tinder was all about the man reaching out, or if the woman did first, she might be desperate or sleazy. Bumble wasn’t about desperation. Now worth over $1 billion, Bumble remains a popular dating app to connect where it just so happens women get the first move.
Whitney Wolfe didn’t meet her husband on Bumble though. She actually met her husband, Michael Herd on a ski trip in Colorado where he made the first move playing like he was a bad skier and needed her help. They married in 2017 in Positano, Italy.
Bumble doesn’t just stop at matching potential romantic couples. They just launched Bumble Bizz helping women build connections in the professional world. It’s female centered hoping to leave any sexual harassment problems in the dust. Bumble BFF was launched as a way to match potential best friends instead of romantic interests. It pairs you with friends of the same gender whom may have the same interests.
Whitney Wolfe and her apps could lead to more positive changes in the #metoo movement. Bumble empowers women and puts them at the head of the table, something not many apps have been able to do. Wolfe Herd keeps moving forward and promoting feminism and entrepreneurship throughout the world.
